Nominations for Executive Committee
The MeCCSA with AMPE AGM will be held during the Conference at Coventry University, which takes place from Wednesday 10 – Friday 12 January 2007. The purpose of this notice is to invite nominations for election to the Executive Committee and nominations for the post of Chairperson of the Practice Section who will also sit on the Executive Committee.
The ballot papers will be sent out 28 days ahead of the AGM. To meet that deadline could nominations please be sent to Peter Golding (p.golding@lboro.ac.uk) by 1 December 2006 at the latest.
Please note:
- There is no pro-forma. Nominations should simply state clearly who is nominated. The constitution makes no stipulation as to seconding for nominations.
- Self-nomination is permissible.
- Nominations must be accompanied by a simple, brief, and factual CV of no more than 150 words. Please also provide full contact information.
- Nominations must be typed, signed and sent by post, to Sarah Barnard, Department of Social Sciences, Loughborough University, LE11 3TU. Please mark envelope 'MeCCSA election'. Please also send a copy to her by email (s.h.barnard@lboro.ac.uk) to facilitate collating material into a ballot paper.
- Nominees must be members in good standing of MeCCSA with AMPE. This means that nominees must be an individual member or a member of staff of a department/unit which is an institutional member. See the List of Members or Join MeCCSA with AMPE pages for further information.
- This is the first ballot for the Executive Committee of the new organization agreed at the AGMs of both MeCCSA and AMPE in January 2006. Voting will be for the nineteen Committee Members as stipulated in the draft constitution agreed at those meetings. In subsequent years, half the Committee places will be up for election in accordance with the constitution.
