AGM 2006
Joint Annual Conference of MeCCSA and AMPE
The second joint conference of MeCCSA and AMPE was
held at Leeds Metropolitan
University from 13 to 15 January 2006. It brought together
two leading media subject associations serving the UK’s
tertiary sector. The AGMs of both associations were held
during the conference (see link above for information on
the MeCCSA
AGM).
The conference was hosted by the School
of Cultural Studies at the Carriageworks
Theatre and The
Metropole Hotel in the heart of Leeds. The programme
combined keynote lectures, academic and practitioner-led
papers, workshops, panels and screenings. It also featured
plenary debates on research councils, communications and
funding policies, publishers’ exhibition space and
a reception at the Civic
Hall.
