HEFCE have published their consultation on the Research Excellence Framework .
MeCCSA will be formally responding to this, and will review a draft response at its next Executive Committee meeting in November 2009. Members who have points they wish us to consider or include are invited to send notes of these as soon as possible, and by no later than 20 November 2009. Comments should be sent to Natalie Fenton.
Members may particularly wish to consider:
1.The configuration of panels being proposed, especially as it relates to our field (Panel D).
2.The proposed timetable
3.The relative weighting and means of assessing the components of output quality, environment, and impact.
Of course, comments on any other aspects of the Consultation on which members would wish MeCCSA to comment are very welcome.
