Three-D is the newsletter of MeCCSA. Its aim is to provide news and comment of interest to the media, communication and cultural studies fields. Contributions do not necessarily reflect the views of the Association, or its Executive Committee.

Three-D is currently produced by Jane Arthurs (copy) and Nick Sayers (design, layout, distribution). Ideas for contributions are always welcome – contact Jane at jane.arthurs@uwe.ac.uk.

We aim to produce two issues of Three-D per year. Copies are sent free to all members of MeCCSA.

Missing Newsletters

If you haven't received a copy of the newsletter, one of the following factors might provide the explanation:

  • You think you are a member of MeCCSA but in fact you aren't. Most members are institutional members – ie: their departments join and pay for five or ten or sometimes more memberships. Your head of department, or the person to whom s/he delegates MeCCSA matters, may have omitted to join or rejoin MeCCSA. Or they may have left you off the list of members' names. So in the first instance, you might enquire with your head of department, or MeCCSA rep, about whether your department and/or you are paid-up members. Or check under ‘list of members’ on this website (though there is a chance that this list might not be completely up to date).
  • You have moved address and/or department and have forgotten to tell us. The membership secretary and treasurer is Gillian Doyle of Stirling University, and the person to inform is Louise Womersley at Stirling, who runs the database on MeCCSA's behalf. Louise's email address is a.l.womersley@stir.ac.uk. Please don't forget to tell Louise about your new email address, as well as your new postal details, so that we can keep you informed of important issues in between newsletters. If your new department is not an institutional member of MeCCSA, please encourage them to join. If you haven't received a newsletter for this reason, it would help us greatly if you could print off your own version from the PDF files lised on this page.
  • The newsletter has got lost or delayed in the post. While of course this happens occasionally, based on our past experience, one of the first two explanations above is much more likely to be the correct one for the problem.
