| The future of screen heritage in the UK: a symposium on strategy |
|
MeCCSA's symposium on the future of our screen heritage, held at Roehampton University on 22 September 2007, was attended by more than 60 delegates and speakers from a wide range of agencies in the libraries and archive sector. The day allowed delegates to share information about current problems, but the main focus was on looking more long-term at the bigger issues facing the acquisition, preservation and storage of our audio-visual heritage. The symposium was organised by Ian W Macdonald (Louis Le Prince Centre, Institute of Communication Studies, University of Leeds) and Michael Chanan (School of Arts (Film and Video), University of Roehampton) on behalf of MeCCSA.
