British Film Institute motion passed at AGM

At the recent AGM in Salford, January 13th 2011, the following motion was put by Ian MacDonald, concerning the British Film Institute:

MeCCSA views with grave concern the recent moves by BFI to cut some of the staffing in its National Library Service and to move its collections to a less accessible location.  The AGM instructs the EC to call for an early meeting with the BFI to discuss the future directions and well-being of this service.

The motion was passed.  33 for.  1abstention.
