Three-D Issue 19: Do your subs look big in this?

Karen Ross
University of Liverpool

Thanks to all of you who have joined, re-joined or renewed their membership for the 2012-13 membership year, which started on 1 September. We appreciate your support!. Membership statistics as of the end of October is outlined in the table below.

So, members are doing a lot better at renewing than at the same time last year and, given the continuing financial stringency within our sector, we are pleased  that you and/or your institution still see the value of MeCCSA membership. About half of our more or less ‘regular’ institutional members have renewed which is a great start, but we are about to enter a critical time of year for MeCCSA, so we would like to see all our members become current. The deadline for nominating  new members to the MeCCSA Executive Committee is 30 November and you must be a fully paid-up member in order to nominate or be nominated for the Executive Committee. Another incentive to renew is that current members can take advantage of the member discount for the Annual Conference, which takes place between 9th -12th January 2013, at Ulster University.

Renewing your membership

If you have not already renewed, please visit https://www.meccsa.org.uk/meccsa-membership-payment/ and select the appropriate membership category. Clicking the ‘Buy Now’ button takes you directly to the PayPal payment page. Please note that a PayPal account is not necessary – you can select the ‘Don’t have a PayPal account?’ link in the lower right of the window and pay as a guest. This is the most efficient way to get current with your membership. If paying by card is not an option, you can pay by BACS (MeCCSA, Co-operative Bank a/c no:  50216158, sort code 08-90-86) or by cheque, payable to ‘MeCCSA’. Please post cheque payments to me, Karen Ross, School of the Arts, University of Liverpool, 19 Abercromby Square, Liverpool L69 7ZG, UK.

The member list on the MeCCSA website (https://www.meccsa.org.uk/about/list-of-members/) shows the list of currently paid-up members and is updated regularly. However, if you expect to see your name or institution there but find it missing, please contact Sandra Harris, MeCCSA membership secretary, at:
membership@meccsa.org.uk.
